Pre build watchlist based on roles

The dashboard and visualization we are using are different from role to role. Manager and leadership have different requirments on what they need to see and how they want to see it compared to other users.

To simply the visusalization and provide key metrics and dashboard at a glance we would like to be able to create wathclist based on the role. So when the users log in they will see the prebuilt watchlist, see their key metrics and dashboard directly on the homepage without having necessary to create them themselves.

This would be very useful. To expand upon this, it would be helpful to be able to pre-set filters for roles to align to business segments and/or cost centers. Using this we would be able to have truly standard dashboards maintained centrally (one dashboard) and use the role/filter function upon log in for 1,000s of users. The ROI on this would be huge from a report maintenance, governance POV and ensuring all users see "one version of the truth" that is properly governed centrally.

Good news…

We are adding ACLs to watchlists in the next release which lets you control who can see which watchlist. This is very similar to the new Home Page Group option that was just released.

These 2 features are part of a larger project that will allow you to further customize the 'default experience' that each user/role gets when they log into OAC.
