How to resolve Performance issues with Payables delivered dashboard?

When adding additional values to the Fiscal Period filter, the AP Average Payment Days and AP Payments Processed visuals take over 15-20 mins to render data. Is there a workaround for this performance issue?

Hi @User_3512R
Can you share me more details about the issue, like which subject area are you using what are the columns and filters are selected , how much data do you have in your database?

Arjun

Hi Mallikarjuna Kuppauru-Oracle,
This is the Delivered dashboard: Payables.
The more we add to the Fiscal Period filter, the longer it takes to render the results. I ran a couple of tests and found for example, when I add one fiscal period (Nov) it takes less than 1 second to render, whereas when I add 6 periods in total, it takes almost 15-20 minutes to complete (based on the Summary Query time under Performance Tools). The two impacted visuals are AP Average Payment Days, and On Time Payment Performance %.
Subject Area: Financials-AP Payments

Hi @User_3512R,
This sounds like expected behavior. One period vs six periods could equate to a huge difference in the number of records. You may want to set defaults on these periods to return the current period only. Then allow user to select more periods as required.

John

But JohnW-Oracle, that is just an example I provided. We are seeing overall dashboard load delays and multiple charts/graphs in the dashboard taking a very long time to load. Sometimes we also see delays in just seeing the values populate in the drop down list of filters. Are you able to provide any pointers or configurations that we could check?

Hi @User_3512R,
Are the OAC performance issues specific to some Dashboards, charts, etc and not others?
Is the issue intermittent?
If these are custom reports, you could review this blog here for Performance Enhancement ideas.
If these are OOTB reports, you should log a SR that includes the Session log from the OAC Console and a HAR file.

John

Thank you, JohnW-Oracle. Yes, these are all OOTB and have already raised several SRs, but reaching out to the community here to get other thoughts.
