Does OTBI support donut charts?

Hello Oracle Community,
I’m reaching out to see if there is any update on supporting donut charts in OTBI. As of now, we only have access to pie charts in OTBI. Thanks for your answers.

Hi, Oracle Business Intelligence OBI ( suite Enterprise Edition EE) platform in package OTBI is the "legacy" BI platform. The cloud first platform is Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC). OBI has no donut charts out of the box. OAC does have them out of the box.
On premise in OBI it was possible to drop in third party code to add extra data visualizations. But in our hosted SaaS OBI in OTBI our host do not permit us access to the application server to add customizations like this.
FYI some of the products in OBI in OTBI are already "terminal release" for example Scorecard and KPI (purple objects in your create menu), Mobile App (red objects in your create menu), Marketing (green)
"With the introduction of Oracle Analytics Cloud … Oracle Data Visualization is now the strategic, go forward tool. With this prioritization of investment, no further enhancements and features are planned for …"
Statement Of Direction for Oracle Scorecard & Strategy Management Product(OSSM) (Doc ID 2530313.1)
Statement of DirectionOracle Mobile Application Designer (MAD) (Doc ID 2341128.2)
One happy day in a future YYABCD release the "real time" analytics and reports in OTBI may get replaced with OAC "real time" analytics and reports in Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications. I have not seen a roadmap for when this may happen.
But right now in the extra cost add on data warehouse service Fusion Data Intelligence (a bit like Prince formerly known as Fusion Analytics Warehouse FAW) for Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications it does already use OAC instead of the much older OBI for the data visualisation presentation of metrics in its card decks.
So you can have a donut chart in this as long as you are ok with the data being a little bit out of date and the data you need is in scope of the data extract load process.
