Hello Team,

Any reason besides the same procurement Analytics which is included in both ERP and SCM Functional offering.

Are both these Functional Areas are same or different? why does oracle has provided those area in both the offerings.

Suppose for a customer using both ERP and SCM do i need to enable procurement in both the offerings or is it ok to use only one?

Ok, so it can be enabled in any one pillar.

Suppose if we are using both Finance and SCM then we can enable procurement in anyone of the pillar and activate the same.

Answers

  • Procurement is common for both SCM and ERP. Hence it is shows in both places.

You don't need to enable procurement in both offerings.

If you activate Procurement in ERP/SCM then it should be good.

  • The Functional Areas are the same for Procurement in both Fusion ERP Analytics & SCM Analytics.

Fusion Analytics offers Procurement in both offerings because Procurement is included in both Fusion ERP & SCM applications.

For your final question, it depends on which application Procurement is enabled in: ERP or SCM (or both)? If Procurement is enabled in ERP application, enable it in ERP Analytics, (and so on for SCM). If Procurement is enabled in both applications, there may be nuances for the individual customer's use case that would dictate if it is enabled in one or both locations in Analytics.
