Is BI Publisher Replaced with Oracle Analytics

Is the below note accurate and valid
"
BI Publisher is effectively replaced by Oracle Analytics Publisher, which is essentially the same functionality but now part of the larger Oracle Analytics suite. Users should migrate to Oracle Analytics Publisher for any new report development and functionality.
"
Can anybody provide more inputs on the same. We had built a considerable number of reports using BI Publisher. If the above note holds true then this will have a huge impact on our present implementation.

Are you using a standalone BIP or BIP as part of Fusion SaaS?
Thanks.

Hello Nirupama,
I don't think that today there is a concrete possibility of migrating from publisher to analytics/dv, given that the bursting functionality is missing, which is sometimes fundamental for the implementation of some reports. If this functionality is not used, in my opinion it would be better to use the other resources.

We are referring to BIP Reports part of Oracle Fusion

We got below note from one of the oracle doc. We need to understand if BI Publisher reports are getting replaced and if yes, by when so that we can get prepared for this depreciation.

BI Publisher is Replaced with Oracle Analytics
BI Publisher is effectively replaced by Oracle Analytics Publisher, which is essentially the same functionality but now part of the larger Oracle Analytics suite. Users should migrate to Oracle Analytics Publisher for any new report development and functionality.
While not completely extinct, Oracle's BI Publisher is considered largely deprecated and is being phased out by Oracle in favor of newer reporting tools like Oracle Analytics Cloud.
BI Publisher’s development and active support are significantly reduced. It's not recommended to start new projects using BI Publisher as the reporting solution
Replacement with Oracle Analytics Cloud: Oracle is actively pushing users towards Oracle Analytics Cloud for new reporting needs, which offers more advanced features and capabilities.
Limited updates: While still technically available, updates and new features for BI Publisher are minimal.
Existing implementations: Companies that already use BI Publisher can still access and use it but may need to migrate to a newer solution for future development.
Functionality: Both tools allow for report generation and document creation, but Oracle Analytics Publisher is the newer, more actively developed version.
Integration with Oracle Cloud: Oracle Analytics Publisher is fully integrated with the Oracle Analytics Cloud platform.
Overall: “Oracle Analytics” (formerly known as Oracle Business Intelligence) includes the "Oracle Analytics Publisher" functionality that was previously “BI Publisher”. While you can still access BI Publisher features within Oracle Analytics, the overall platform is now referred to as Oracle Analytics.
Oracle Analytics provides a comprehensive suite of data analysis tools, including data visualization, reporting, and data modeling capabilities, with BI Publisher being a component for generating complex document-based reports.

The key part of the message is this one:
BI Publisher is effectively replaced by Oracle Analytics Publisher
As you can see the only difference is that the product was previously named BI Publisher, while now it is named Oracle Analytics Publisher.
It's part of the larger renaming that happened some years ago with OBIEE becoming Oracle Analytics Server, to match more closely with Oracle Analytics Cloud. And also with DVD that become Oracle Analytics Desktop. Everything now takes the name of Oracle Analytics <something>. Maybe licensing changed to reduce the number of diverse licenses existing with OBI before to a simpler set of licenses with Oracle Analytics products now (but licensing is anyway handled by your account manager, contact them in case of doubts).
Same product, same features, different label on the box.
Do you have a lot of Publisher content? Not a problem, nothing change, other than the name you use to reference the product. And if you just call it "Publisher", it still work even with the new name.
You will not need to migrate to analytics/dv, you will not even have to use those if all you want is a standalone Publisher. No worries, it's just a name change, and at best the installation binaries (can't remember if there was an install file just for BI Publisher before).

Thank you Gianni for your confirmation. In short, do you mean BI Publisher will be renamed to Oracle Analytics and all our custom reports will continue to work. There will not be any impact due to this. Please confirm.

You are using Publisher in Fusion, therefore you have no control on the "product" itself and you will not even see the change of name, except maybe if you find an "about" or "help" link somewhere inside a Publisher screen.
Nothing will change for you or your content, things will work as usual (because again you don't have a standalone Publisher, but you are using Publisher in Fusion, you don't even have to install it).

ok, Thanks this helps.
