Exclude a chart from being filtered when a different chart on the same canvas is the filter

How can we exclude a chart from being filtered on a canvas when a different chart on the same canvas is used as a filter for that canvas?

I do not think it is possible I have tried multiple times to do this exact thing. If you need to exclude charts from being filtered and need to exclude a chart I would look to use Dashboard filters. Not the best option but has an exclude option.

Hi @User_3512R,

Yes, you can filter other visuals from the canvas using a visual available in the same canvas.

For that, you need to enable the use as filter option. Once the use as filter is enabled, then the value selected in the visual will be filtered in other visuals.

To enable use as filter?

Right click your visual and enable use as filter option.

I have a canvas with 6 visuals. I want to use one of those visuals as a filter for the canvas but want to exclude a different visual on the same canvas from being filtered.

In other words, can I use a visual on a canvas to selectively filter out the rest of the visuals on the same canvas?
