Fusion ERP Analytics – How to get started on Configurable Account Analysis (CAA) feature

Summary :

This post provides a subject area template and a prebuilt DV workbook content to get started on Configurable Account Analysis feature.

Prerequisites :

General Ledger, Account Payable and Account Receivable functional areas should be active to use this template.

It is important to note that when you are configuring CAA as a replacement to GL Account Analysis, you only need to select Payables and Receivables journal sources in CAA template.

Minimum product version should be 24.R2.P2 to use CAA bundles feature.

Content :

Configurable Account Analysis (CAA) is a cross finance self-service advanced capability for Oracle Fusion ERP Analytics.

It enables functional administrators to define a comprehensive account analysis template which can combine data across general ledger and multiple subledger sources.

Business users get the ability to do the end to end analysis for GL and subledger accounting data, drill down into account activity, analyze the transaction details on historic basis.

Hi,

getting below error.

'Bundle validation failed. CAA Validation Failed. Application modules missing in target.'.

We have published all offerings under ERP and enabled all featires.

Can you please let us know what could be the issue?

"Package validation failed. CAA validation failed. Application modules are missing from the destination."

I wanted to check if you were able to resolve this issue on your end. If so, could you kindly share the steps or solution you applied?

Sometimes this is just a UI issue. Could you check to see if the CAA subject area is available and reports are working for CAA?

Is there any solution for this error when importing the subject area bundle:

'Bundle validation failed. CAA Validation Failed. Application modules missing in target.'

Hi Molly,

Can you review the Functional areas that were activated and make sure they are same in Dev and Prod.

Also check the DFF's (if selected in CAA template) are same in Dev and prod.

The same functional areas are activated in dev and prod, but I inactivated Account Analysis in dev as part of the steps to enable CAA. Therefore dev does differ from prod as I'm testing this feature in dev first.

I cannot tell if DFFs are selected in the CAA template. I got the file from this post, how can I check? Also there are some supplier DFFs in dev that are not in prod because we haven't migrated them to production.

Do these conditions need to be met in order for this to work? How are we expected to test it first in dev?
