Making a new subject area available for reporting
We have created a new subject area in FDI.
- Create a branch with the appropriate steps
- Merge the branch into the main branch
- Modified the system generated security configuration so that there is a duty role assigned with read access to the subject area (we do not need row-level security on this subject area)
When a user who has the appropriate duty role assigned attempts to create a workbook using the new subject area, the new subject area is not showing as being available to the user.
I've attempted to search through documentation and community, but I'm not able to figure out what step I'm missing.
Any help is appreciated.

@D.Angle Was the newly created SA ever visible before creating the duty role specific to that subject area and assigning the duty role to the user?
Also, is there a author related role ie. FAW ERP Licensed Author related group assigned to the Custom Duty role created to access the Subject Area?

Hi Ashish. Appreciate the response.
No. I do not see the subject area with default security (authorized user/read) or with the duty role added.
I'm not following the second question. The FAW ERP Licensed Author (As an example) does not have any application role assignments directly (i.e. duty roles) - so we have not followed that pattern.
User -> Custom Group -> Application Roles (including licensed user and custom duty role)
