The art of possible with FDI?

Hi All,
I am working with a high profile Higher Education customer in UK who would like to hear from other customers on how effectively they are using FDI.
For eg:- Are they only using the pre-built analytics elements of FDI or have they also extended these to create custom reports or analytics etc
