We would like to Implement subject-area–level filter that applies to all users in FDI

Question

We’d like to enforce a subject-area–level default filter for all users by fixing the Balancing Segment Tree to a single value (e.g., “Company CHS_PL”), so it’s automatically applied to all ad hoc analyses and prebuilt dashboards (users don’t have to remember to apply it each time). This is not custom security  - please advise how to implement this in FDI.

Hello @venkata_k,

Thank you for the question.  There is probably more than one way to do this. Since 'all users' will use the same filter, One idea is to use the OOTB Subject Area to create a Custom Subject Area that includes your filter. Then assign users to a group that includes the appropriate duty and data roles and allows users to only access the new/modified Subject Area and not the OOTB one.
