You should check the official certification document, it is more official than "being told" things ;-)

Translating numbers just to make it explicit: OAS 7.6 = 2024, OAS 8.2 = 2025.

The thing is that OAS 2023 is out of support, because OAS has a yearly release, and when a version is released, the previous has 12 months of support.

In April the 2025 version has been released, and that's when the standard support for OAS 2023 ended.

There usually aren't good reasons to stay on a old OAS version, it's a yearly upgrade step that should be planned.
