FDI Tooltip Data Dictionary Capability

The ability to link an FDI workbook to an external data dictionary (e.g., Collibra) would be a powerful capability to pair with Tooltip. If users were able to hover over an Attribute in a visualization to view the current/comprehensive descriptions and definitions, they would have added confidence/clarity in their analysis efforts. Additionally, if anyone has an effective method for linking flat files that contain data dictionary info to workbooks with multiple subject areas, please share your methods for incorporating this into Tooltips. Thank you

    Have you looked into doing something like this?
    (I haven't tried it out myself - just brainstorming existing features that you could leverage)

    Step 1: Leverage the Semantic Model Extension feature to add the external data dictionary flat file to each subject area

    Step 2: For each workbook leveraging the subject areas that you extended, drag in the relevant data dictionary attribute in the Tooltips area in the grammar panel to create a custom tooltip (as shown here)
