Ability to change common time joins
In the FDI subject areas, the time dimensions are usually anchored to a date. I need to have the ability to change those anchor dates. For example, the SCM - Sales Orders subject area is anchored to the Ordered Date. That does me no good when I want to trend open sales orders. I might be unique but no one cares when the order was taken. They want to know when the order is scheduled to ship. And if I need to combine this with another subject areas like SCM - Manufacturing Work Orders, it's going to join based on the ordered date. I want to be able to see a combination of when my work orders are going to complete as well as my when my sales orders are scheduled to ship. Then I can make sure those dates are aligned. I have no ability to do that without creating a custom data set. I can't even create my own subject area with a different common time. My hands are tied. Please give us back control of the semantic layer!

Hi Branden,
You should be able to resolve this with Semantic Model Customizations. Do you have Admin access or able to work with an Admin on this? See "
Customize Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence" chapter below.

@Jay Pearson-Oracle I don't think what he wants to do is covered in SME. He is asking to change the physical join between a fact and the existing common time dim. I don't believe this is possible in FDI.
