How to paste shortcut in OTBI?

When trying to paste a shortcut to a report in My Folder, the error Path not found populated.
We have the option, and can, create a shortcut to a report in the folder the report is in, but when copying the short cut to My Folder, it errors.
The reasoning for the shortcut is to have way to easily access the reports frequently visited instead of clicking in and out of folders.
I had created a SR but told this is a community post

It would be a great usability improvement if OTBI could remember the last accessed folder or allow users to set a default folder for quicker access. This small enhancement could significantly improve workflow efficiency.
