AI assistant not available
I have index a subject area (workforce core) and run the crawl which has been a success but when I go to create a workbook using this subject area and verify if AI assistant is working I get the below message:
The Assistant feature is currently disabled as no language model has been assigned. Please contact your service administrator to assign a language model to enable this feature
What is the root cause of this as I have followed the documentation/youtube video by oracle analytics on this, and theres no explanation as to why.

If you don't see the Assistant option, you might not have the required permissions. Contact your administrator to request the Use Assistant in Workbooks permission. See Grant or Revoke Permissions for Application Roles.
Administrators may also need to enable Oracle’s default generative AI as the source for your Assistant. See Configure Which Generative AI to Use with AI-supporting Features.
Administrators can also enable the Assistant to use its built-in knowledge to improve responses by allowing the Assistant to use information outside of your data. See Configure Built-In Knowledge for Oracle Analytics AI Assistant.
Hope it helps!

Hi Rvohra,
Thanks for replying. As this is an FDI implementation the OAC environment is a bit different. In the OAC console there is no "Roles and Permissions" tab in order to edit the roles. I do have FAW Service Administrator in order to manage FDI/OAC environments as a bundle.
It is allowing me in the OAC console to enable AI Assistant (The tickbox) on each of the subject areas as well as run the crawl. But it is having no effect within the workbook.
Also in the OAC console, generative AI is disabled:
Any further ideas?

Got it. Please review a past post discussing the same issue. Hope it helps!

No i have already reviewed this post and nothing in there resolved the issue plus the document linked is only for Oracle employees.

Yes, you are right I was also not able to open the link, and I thought it might be because of my VPN/Firewall.
I guess Oracle Support should be able to help by making the link public or finding out with Product Development Team for further assistance.

When i raised an SR a few weeks back they were not helpful at all. They just said it will become available eventually but everything advertised from Oracle from youtube to documentation is stating its available now.
So i was wondering if anyone in this community has actually enabled it in FDI and its working as expected.

Can you share URL of that YouTube video, and I will also take a look?

We expect to have the consumer assistant Generally-Available (GA) for FDI subject areas quite soon.

Thank you, Silvio, for the update. It will certainly help to publish the timeline for these features for the GA.
