FDI Managing Application Roles/Groups - Can we buid a hierarchy?
Hello,
We're deploying FDI and we're trying to clean up our security management.
The Target
We'd like to be able to manage our employees through parent groups like "HR Analyst" instead of it's child groups like "HR Analyst - LE".
The Details
We have a lot of specific Duty Roles that determine the type of access a user has based on Legal Entities, Countries etc. This results in copies of broad "parent" roles to manage the difference between someone who should be able to see everything vs having access to a specific list of countries. It's not uncommon to see groups like "HR Analyst - LE" and "HR Analyst - Country"
The Question:
Does anyone know how we can nest groups or roles so we can grant permissions at the "parent" level to simplify management?

Are you talking about data roles? Have you tried using Copy Role Mappings feature to create parent groups?
In any case, you may benefit from using CEAL Security Questionnaire to organize your security. Please check the video at Analytics - Fusion Data Intelligence: CEAL Guidance Office Hours 2025 - Oracle Video Hub .0
