Ability to extract BI report from ESS output without assigning BI Administrator role

Hi,

We have a requirement where user needs to extract BI report from ESS output without assigning BI Admin role. As BI Admin role has BI Author role inherited, it gives away too much access to users who only need to see report outputs.

But as per Oracle to extract BI report from ESS, BI admin role is compulsory and BI admin roles gives end user many privileges due to BI Author.

We have something similar, we have added BI admin and consumer role BI is not accessible by Custom payroll flow. If we add BI Author role the the process can access the report. Does BI Auther role is mandatory?
