Oracle Analytics AI Assistant: Indexing Custom Calculations
Hello everyone,
we are trying to activate the Oracle AI Analytics Assistant for creating visualizations in our workbook. We followed all the steps mentioned in the documentation but we are facing the following issue:
We are only able to index the "standard" subject areas to the tool and not our custom calculations. In fact, every element included in the "My Calculations" folder does not even appear as available for indexing.
This causes issues to the AI behaviour, since our dashboard heavily relies on calculations and the assistant cannot provide responses regarding data that are managed through them.
Do you know if indexing Calculations is currently supported? If yes. are we missing something?
Thank you,
Efstathios.

As I recall workbook custom calculations does not reflect under Indexing while enabling subject area / dataset for Analytics AI Assistant.
You can move those calculations are RPD / semantic model based subject area and it will start reflecting for indexing, to be used by Analytics AI assistant.

Hello @Ankit Gupta.-Oracle ,
thank you very much for your prompt response. Yes, we have already seen in the documentation that the two elements which are mentioned as available for indexing are Data Sets and Subject Areas.
We just thought that it would make sense, if we were able to separately index calculations, since they already exist as independent elements in the "My Calculations" folder.
Do we know if any enhancement is planned on the roadmap? We are afraid that moving such a big amount of calculations to a subject area could pose risks to the Dashboard's performance and that the user experience will not be the same as before (we have a heavily customized dashboard with many calculations).
Thank you,
Efstathios.
