Dispatch Command Center Dashboard
1.Which dataset did you use?
I created a dummy dataset with the the help of Public safety Team within Oracle
These datasets provides information about incidents raised, location of incidents, responded incidents, incident details along with units assigned.
2.How did you analyze or prepare the data?
The dummy dataset was first cleaned and preprocessed using Python script. This includes correcting inconsistent data especially invalid latitude and longitude details.
Along with this, I also leveraged Auto-Insights and explain feature within OAC to identify patterns.
3.Who is the intended audience for your visualization
The audience spans frontline tactical operators to strategic leadership who require real-time visibility, performance tracking, and decision support — including:
- Dispatchers and field units
- Supervisors and shift commanders
- Public safety leadership
- Emergency management officials
- Analytics and support teams
4.What is your visualization about, and what question or problem does it address?
The visualization is a Dispatch Command Center Public Safety Dashboard that provides real-time and historical insights into emergency call handling, unit deployment, and response performance.
It consolidates:
- 📞 Incident volume by type and priority
- ⏱ Response time metrics (incident received → en route → arrival)
- 📍 Geographic distribution of incidents
- 📈 Month comparison and trend analysis
What Question Does It Address?
- Are we responding quickly and effectively right now?
- Are high-priority incidents being delayed?
- Which areas consistently have high incidents?
- Are certain incident types trending upward?
With this dashboard:
- Decision-making becomes real-time
- Resource allocation becomes data-driven
- Leadership sees operational health at a glance
- Performance becomes measurable and defensible
It is a mobile responsive dashboard.
5.Did you use any Oracle Analytics AI features when building your visualization (ex. AI Assistant)? If so, please describe how they were used
Yes, I have leveraged the following AI features :
- AI Insights and explain for analyzing the date
- AI Assistant and AI agent for getting deep dive knowledge about dataset
- Prophet model for forecasting trend
6.Did you upload your visualization image and dva file?
Yes

This is a very polished and professional dashboard.
The layout is intuitive, and the combination of KPIs, geographic mapping, trend comparison, and incident linkage provides a comprehensive operational view.
Excellent work delivering both clarity and actionable insights in one cohesive design! 👏

Great graphics. Some suggestions:
Not sure the choice of graphic representation for Incident Leakage is the right one. What does this graphic tell me? I presume the types of incidents and their outcomes.I don't see that the left side labeled Law tells me anything. And on the right side, the top outcome has no label.
I think, I'd be better served by a simple bar chart with one bar for each of the crime types with the outcomes stacked.
Not sure how this dashboard answers the questions you describe:- Are we responding quickly and effectively right now?
Where do I see that? In the MoM Comparison? the little triangles?
- Are high-priority incidents being delayed?
Not sure how I tell that.
- Which areas consistently have high incidents?
- Are certain incident types trending upward?

@Kashika Puri-Oracle great visualisation Kashika. Nice use of the Sankey Diagram as well to describe incident to outcome.

Good work on this visualization, with good use of different ways to display the data. The color scheme used is good and helps to highlight the important data without being distracting

How dashboard is address the above discussed questions?
- Are we responding quickly and effectively right now? Use the average response, incident and en route duration in the Overview tab to see the average times for a particular date range. We can compare this duration with the threshold set for each counties.
- Are high-priority incidents being delayed? Filter on the incident priority. Use the average response, incident and en route duration in the Overview tab to see the average times for a particular date range for high priority incidents. You can also use incident details tab to see response time for each incident.
- Which areas consistently have high incidents? - Use the Incidents location map in the Overview tab. You can change the time range to get details about a particular range.
- Are certain incident types trending upward? - Use the trend canvas, In the view by filter- select Incident Type. This will help you to see which incident types trending upward
