Having an issue to achieve Hierarchy based Absence reporting in FDI (Direct and Indirect)
Need to create a dashboard to show all direct and indirect managers under a selected manager, along with their combined direct and indirect reportees’ absence data. Since the Manager Hierarchy in FDI doesn’t return data for me, I explored alternatives: Using the Position Hierarchy (Top Position as filter and Manager Name from Assignment Manager List in the table) gives correct absence aggregation and manager coverage; however, it also displays ancestor‑level managers (for example, Group Executives and COO when selecting Executive Director). Could you please advise if it’s possible in FDI to restrict the output to only descendant‑level managers while still aggregating both direct and indirect absence data?

Hi @Priya Parthiban, does the manager hierarchy work for other subject areas for you? If you don't manage staff yourself, you won't see anything in the manager hierarchy. If you build it and log in as a manager, you may find it gives the desired result.
The only other thing I could think of is to use selection steps with a parameter but you can currently only select a specific individual so may be worth raising this as an idea.

There are a number of things you could try from changing the position hierarchy filter to is a descendant of, explore hierarchy level column exists to filter out ancestor levels, look at flattening hierarchy view.
