As announced, OAS 2026 has moved to FMW 14. What does this mean for the future of OBIA?
Given that 103PS4 is for 12.2.1.4 , it would seem another required upgrade beyond 103ps4 will have to happen. What should customers expect for timelines?
Hello @BrandonH Good question. I'll ask around for updated information and follow up. Generally speaking, the following KM article is the first document that would get updated with information like that.
OBIA: Oracle Business Intelligence Applications Statement of Direction KB422019
I'll follow up again as soon as I hear back internally.

John
Hello @BrandonH
The current ETA is Dec 2026.
For a feature complete product, it seems the binding to OAS and its annual release cycle is becoming increasingly problematic.
A Dec 2026 release for OBIA on 14c would mean customers have only 1 year before extended support ends to complete the upgrade, and at that time it will have been 3 years from the GA date of 14.1.x
If the upgrade cadence continues annually, and necessitates ODIREPO rebuilds, are there are plans to simplify the upgrade process for OBIA?
Are there any customers remaining that don't have standalone OAS or OAC for reporting?
Hi @BrandonH True, but it takes a long time to Develop/QA the huge number of mappings, BIACM, etc. The same was true when moving from OBIA 11g and the 11g FMW components to 12c. A lot of the mappings had to be tweaked just to account for the new technology. OAC is optional but both OAC and OAS are widely used now.
