We should Replace or Merge while deploying semantic model extension bundles from UAT to PROD FDI ?

I have created a holiday table in ADW & with help of semantic model extension joined this dim table with existing OOTB Subject area. Changes have been merged & published to main sandbox in UAT. So, while deploying UAT SME bundle in Prod we have to select "Merge Sandbox content" or "Replace Sandbox content" ?

It is generally recommended to use “Merge Sandbox Content” while deploying SME bundles from UAT to PROD in FDI, especially when extending existing OOTB subject areas.

This approach helps preserve existing PROD customizations while applying the new semantic model changes.

“Replace Sandbox Content” is typically used only when the PROD sandbox is intended to be fully overwritten with the UAT sandbox content.
