HI All,
I need help in understanding how is Oracle Fusion AI Data Platform different than Oracle FDI.
I thought Oracle FDI is now rebranded as Oracle AIDP.
Please help me to understand more on this.
Hi @Banwas Nayak ,
Oracle FDI and Oracle Fusion AI Data Platform are mostly the same product family. Oracle FDI, which stands for Fusion Data Intelligence, is being referred to now as Oracle Fusion AI Data Platform.
But don’t confuse it with Oracle AI Data Platform.
Oracle Fusion AI Data Platform is mainly for Oracle Fusion Applications users. It gives ready-made reports, dashboards, KPIs, and AI-based insights for Fusion ERP, HCM, SCM, and CX data.
Oracle AI Data Platform is bigger and more general. It is the overall Oracle platform for storing data, analyzing data, using AI, and building AI/data solutions from many sources.
So the rebrand is mainly FDI -> Oracle Fusion AI Data Platform, not simply FDI -> Oracle AI Data Platform. Oracle AI Data Platform is the broader foundation/platform layer.

Arindam.
HI @Arindam Sadhukhan-Oracle,
that helps.
So if I want to learn about Oracle Fusion AI Data Platform, does the course in Oracle University still valid as its more than 2 years old and even the certification is from 2024.
anything latest that I can pick from?
Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) has not been rebranded as Oracle AI Data Platform. Instead, FDI is now one of the analytics solutions within the broader Oracle AI Data Platform (AIDP).
I recently attended Oracle AIDP in person event and as per my understanding FAIDP is application of Oracle AIDP. Oracle have introduced AI Agents for different modules of ERP and HCM and we can directly build dashboards and reports with the help of module wise AI Agents. They have pre built KPIs. Planned AI Assistants for SCM, HCM, CX and ERP.
