This year MLB implemented the Automatic Balls/Strike System that allows players to challenge a called pitch. A batter, catcher or pitcher can initiate this challenge by immediately tapping their cap. Each team is given 2 challenges per game. If the challenge is successful the challenging team keeps their challenge but if the challenge is unsuccessful the challenging team loses a challenge.
This dashboard shows which teams are the most successful or challenge the most. It also breaks it down by which position and player has been the most successful.
By clicking on a team, you can see how successful they are by role and player.
Some fun insights are that a little over half of the challenges initated are successful, catchers are performing better than the overall average and the average 'missed' call is only by 0.21 inches.
