EXPORT LIMIT OF ROWS FROM OAC REPORTS INTO EXCEL IS BASED ON OCPU'S.

Question

Team,

Any workaround if customer wants to exort data from Oracle Analytics Cloud Workbook in to Excel. they have huge data hence i'm recommending to downstream the CSV format, but customer is morely using other foramts like excel , pdf etc.

is anything mapped in roadline, Please share your thoughts and ideas.

This is a common requirement from customers using Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) and you have a valid concern, but you might need to educate the business users about the Oracle's recommendations.

CSV – Best supported for exporting underlying data.

CSV has no worksheet formatting overhead and it supports much larger datasets. It can be opened directly in Microsoft Excel (subject to Excel's row limit of per worksheet).

Excel (.xlsx) – Generally available for smaller result sets or summarized data, but not intended for millions of rows.

The workaround with the CSV mentioned by you and Brendan is the only alternative.

As mentioned in the documentation here:

There are different row limits for formatted and unformatted data and it is dependent on the Compute size.

What Sizing Options Are Available to You?

Unformatted data limit: Comma Separated Values (CSV)

Formatted data limit: Microsoft Excel (XLSX) and PDF.

ok currently this is what is recommended but why can't push 100 K to excel. Is the only solution to increase the OCPU's is the solution , if the business users are completely rely on excel.i just thier perspective. Because to adopt the Oracle FDI these small things are really matter.
