Hi,
We are using BI Publisher data augmentation for loading FDI. We want to understand the roles that should be assigned to Fusion Service account.
Hi @Swapna_Alluri,
Welcome to the Oracle Analytics & AI Community!
Please take a look into the following blog and the post which might be useful.
Oracle FDI BI publisher data Augmentation - Oracle
https://blogs.oracle.com/analytics/load-data-from-oracle-standard-bi-publisher-connector-with-interative-parameters-in-to-fusion-data-intelligence
Hope this help.
Thank you.
@Swapna_Alluri
For FDI using BIP Data Augmentation, the Fusion service account should follow the principle of least privilege while still being able to authenticate, execute BI Publisher reports, and access the required data. The exact roles depend on how you're using BIP Data Augmentation. For very high level, the fusion service account should be able to Sign in to Oracle Fusion Applications and execute BI Publisher reports through the BI Publisher web service/REST API. It should be able to access the folders containing the BIP reports and data models, read the business data exposed by those reports and access the underlying OTBI/BIP subject areas or data models referenced by the reports.
Hope it helps!
Also, I would highly recommend watching this video published by Oracle FDI Team for the concepts and custom security in FDI.
Thanks
Rajesh
