Enable AI Agents to Accept PDF Files Directly Through External REST APIs

AI Agents do not support receiving or processing PDF documents directly through External REST API integrations(v2/[AgentName]/invokeAsync). This limitation requires customers to implement additional middleware, file conversion logic, or custom preprocessing steps to extract content from PDF files before passing the data to the AI Agent. As of now, the agent could read the file only through manually upload.

What kind of agent are you playing with? the REST endpoint you mention looks like a Fusion thing, are you working with Oracle Fusion AI Agent Studio?

If that's the case, you should post your idea in the forum covering Fusion products: https://community.oracle.com/customerconnect

If it isn't about Fusion AI Agent Studio, you should consider posting many more details, starting by exact products you are using (the are many OCI AI Services, knowing which one you are using would help).
