Hi Experts, I have a report with simple SQL but large output (140M). Its output file was ,xlsx base on an rtf templete. It always takes time to run. May I know is there any good way to reduce the ruing time of it ? Thanks in advence! Weutao
Hi @Weitao , See if your post processing steps can be lightweight. Reduce any formatting or calculations on template and handle it in SQL. Make SQL do the transformation or data manipulation if the current logic is in template.
You can enable Report Diagnostics and validate execution time for report generation as a first step. Consider moving this to an XL template.
I would suggest you to look for explain plans and take help from Oracle support to identify the time taking pieces of your code.
