If I'm not mistaken, then CVS is on the Companion CD under package name SFWcvs. And make sure /usr/sfw/bin is in your $PATH.

Hi guys!

Im a newbie with Solaris as well, and I am facing a similar problem as well.
I have created a new user called dbuser for the Sybase database. The installation ran smoothly until i had to create a database. It gave an error that 'isql' command cannot be found. i quit the creation of the database and restarted the system. Now not only isql, but even commands like vi, ls are not found. I am not able to access any file using the vi editor.
Please suggest me about what has to be done.
Thanks again!

Please post output in further to see what the error message is and what you're trying to do.

You mean cvs? It isn't part of Solaris by default, but please be more precies in the future.

Please check your environment variables like PATH for example. Some installations try to be smart and f*ck*p your .profile for example.
