Changing the default number of members in "Preview User PoV" tab

Hello,

Does anyone know how one would change the number of default members which appear in the Preview User PoV tab when running an FRS report from Workspace? When we click on a dimension, the default number of members displayed is 20, but when drilling down, we almost always have to change the number of members displayed to 50 or 100 to get to base. Any help would be appreciated.

We're on HFM 11.1.2.1

Thanks!

    Hi,

The path name is incorrect in the FRConfig.cmd, preventing any changes from being saved.

For example, FRConfig.cmd shows the path as: Oracle\Middleware\userprojects\Epmsystem1, but the actual path on the server is: Oracle\Middleware\userprojects\Epmsystem2.
    Solution

    1. Save a backup copy of the FRConfig.cmd file.
    2. Edit the FRConfig.cmd file to point to the correct one path.
    3. Save the changes.
    4. Re-launch the JConsole and you should be able to edit values.

  • Hi,

    Try below it may help:

    1. Login to FR web server
    2. run FRconfig.cmd under Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\financialreporting\bin folder
    3. Clcik mbeans
    4. Expand .com.hyperion > Financial Reporting > click Attributes
    5. Here you will see MemberSelectionRowsPerPage setting by default it is 20 make it 50
    6. Close it
    7. Restart FR web service and now check.

    Hi Neeraj,

Thanks very much for the info! Unfortunately, when I get to the "MemberSelectionRowsPerPage" tab, I'm not able to change the default from 20. The "20" appears in blue numbers, and while I am able to modify the field, as soon as I click away from it, or click enter, or click refresh, it reverts back to "20". I've also tried modifying the number, and closing out the screen, but when I go back to the tab to check, it has reverted back to "20".

Is there a way to save this setting that I'm missing? Has anyone else seen this before?

    Thanks in advance!

    Jim,

Make sure that Reporting and Analysis and FR is up and running.

What you are experiencing suggests that JConsole is not getting connected.

If it is connected, you'll be able to change MemberSelectionRowsPerPage

    Neeraj and Celvin,

Thanks very much for your help! The file path in the cmd file was, in fact, incorrect. After I fixed the file path, I was able to save the changes to the default value. I restarted the services, and now when we run a report, we've got 50 rows to drill down through.

    Thanks again,

    Jim
  • Glad to know it fixed.
