Assistance with Attaching a SSL Certificate to be used for authentication

- Basically what we believe we need to do is attach a certificate that was provided to us from an external site at the SOA layer. This certificate is used so when the application tries to connect to the specific external site, it uses that certificate for authentication. So far we haven't been able to figure this out. From what the external site told us, the certificate information just needs to be in the header.

If it just SSL authentication then you need to configure the identity and trust at Weblogic (SOA servers) and import the cert provided by external party into trust keystore. Please refer -

From what this external site told us, the certificate information has to be in the header, which doesn't sound right to me. From what we are told, we send the certificate, the external site sees the information within the header and verifies it, which then the external site allows the connection. Will adding it to the trust accomplish that? Thanks!
