communication error with server. callback failed for data entry page

DattatrayJun 7 2013 — edited Jun 19 2013
hello,

we have recently applied maintenance release EPM 111.2.1 on epm 11.1.2.0.
we have following architecture,

database server: sql server 2005
foundation server (OS = windows server 2008) : HSS, EPMA, Calc manager, EAS, EIS, provider server, Planning
essbase server (OS = windows server 2008) : essbase

after applying maintenance release EPM 11.1.2.1, we have apply following patches for IE 9 compactibility i.e EPM 11.1.2.1.600 patches

1. Patch 14119724 (Workspace)
2. Patch 14142678 (Shared services)
3. Patch 14224664 (EPMA)
4. Patch 14464109 (Planning)

after applying above patches, all users are getting error while opening planning web form through workspace from all client machine.

"*communication error with server. callback failed for data entry page"*

when we rollback only planning patch 14464109, issue of "communication error with server. callback failed for data entry page " get solved for all users but failed for only one user i.e "user xyz"

user xyz have OS = windows 7 & IE 8
user xyz can take RDP of foundation server can open any planning form successfully but get failed when doing from base machine.

i have following question :
1. why do we get error of "communication error with server. callback failed for data entry page" after applying patches for IE9

2. after rollback all patches or only planning patch, why user xyz still getting error but not all other users

thanks in advance
