sun identity management configurator password change

Hi, we have one sun idm setup working for one customer and there are 3 regions (test,qa and prod) where in test and qa nothing much activity is there. I can say test and qa are just for name sake. Now this configurator account password is same i.e. configurator in all the 3 regions. We want to change the password for all these regions but we are worrying if there will be negative impact on this. Can anybody suggest, if we will change configurator password whether it will impact any recon, adapter or scheduled task to stop working. although in prod we have one id who is having configurator like capabilities.

Can you please reply on this as soon as possible.

It depends whether you had it implemented correctly or not. If you had used the configurator account in same of the services and hardcoded its password then obviously changing the configurator password would break those, however, if you had created separate service accounts and used those, then there will be no problems.
