Where is this environment variable being set?

Hi all -

I'm trying to install Enterprise Manager agent on a host and I'm having an issue with the environment variables (assumed issue).  The installer is failing, because somewhere along the way, it's picking up a bad oraInst.loc and oraInventory.  It's somehow adding this information:

inventory_loc=/ade/aime1_vw/oracle/work/Shiphome/oraInventory

inst_group=g900

Which is not valid.

Does anyone know where this info is coming from?

Hi,

look under /var/opt/oracle. Edit oraInst.loc accordingly.

Or it could be under /etc/oratab depending on your flavour of Unix.
