Hello All,

We are having this intermittent issue in our production environment. I dont get error when I run this in the TEST env. This error occurs when the users tries to "Browse for Target value"  (in Webclient, Activities > Maps). The oracle support engineer says

"The start of the FDM error log shows an error coming from HFM.
It looks to me like you are experiencing an intermittent issue in HFM connectivity. This comes from HFM not FDM, if it was due to FDM configuration or a setting it wouldn't correct itself.
Can you check in your HFM event logs and see if you have any errors there around the same time that we see the error in FDM.
We can then ask the HFM team to advise on this."

I can connect to the HFM Application using client, web and smartview. I can connect from FDM to hfm database using *.udl file.

In the event log on FDM server i see this error:

Error 11; hyp11svc; 07/11/2014 11:12:22; ..\..\SharedSourceCode\CHITRegistryWrapper.cpp; Line 593; <?xml version="1.0"?>

Below is the error from FDM.

May be this issue is due to UD5 and UD6 got active in fdm .

The HFM Application currently only has 4 Custom Dimensions enabled, however in the HFM Adapter in FDM UD5-UD6 are also active.

The number of custom dimensions active in the adapter must match what is active in the HFM Application in order for the connection to complete successfully.

    To fix this

    A) Login to the FDM application via the workbench client

    B) Expand Target System Adapters > FM11x-G6-A > Dimensions

    C) Right-Click on UD5 and choose "Properties"

    D) Uncheck the "Active" Box

    E) Repeat for UD6

    Thanks,

    ~KKT~

Can you confirm if you can connect to the HFM application with the same user FDM does from FDM Application Server (or servers if you have more than one) using the HFM client?

    Thanks
