Shared Services and , EPMA huge databases

Hi all,
I have a question regarding the relational maintenance of the EPM databases.
I just found out , that EPMA (27 Gb) and Shared services (40 Gb) databases are bigger than my DRM (2gb), Planning (1.5 Gb) and HFM (3.1 Gb) databases and I want to know if there is a way to dig in to the content and know the reason of the large sizes also know if there is a procedure to refresh, truncate them or flush them with the current information.
Any input will be very appreciate it
Thank you in Advance and best regards
David

For EPMA you could look at the transaction purge utility - Using the Transaction History Purge Utility in a Command Window
40GB for a Shared Services database does not sound right, find out which tables are taking all the space.
