Upgrade EPM from 11.1.2.1 to 11.1.2.3

Hi Gurus,

I have guestion, i want upgrade EPM 11.1.2.1 to 11.1.2.3 with Maintenance Release Installation (machines are that same and the directory are to that same).

During Configuration is option Import data from earlier release for example for EAS.

My question is shoud i use this option or not ?

I know i use that same database for configuration so i select option connect to previously configured database.

My second question is, during configuration should i deploy all components in existing Domain or I should create new Domain ?

    It is not important if is a maintenance release, that is usually used when it is an upgrade from a version prior to 11.1.2.x

    You would deploy to an existing domain.

    Hi John,

    I have one more question , about ODI??

    I have ODI 11.1.1.6 on machine where i have Essbase Server and EPMA and my question is, it is nessesery to install ODI with another componnents during instalation (apply Maintenance Release Installation)  or it's better upgrade ODI to 11.1.1.7 ?

    ODI 11.1.1.6, is this comes with the EPM or you are talking about the stand alone ODI you have installed ?

    ODI which come along with the EPM will be upgraded when you apply the maintenance release. John, please correct me if i am wrong.

    ODI should be upgraded separately, there was no ODI as part of  EPM 11.1.2.1

    But the installer of the 11.1.2.3 will not install the ODI part of the maintenance release ?

    It all depends what products have been installed in 11.1.2.1, it ERPI then it will be install the ODI components, if this is an Essbase Server then no it won't be part of a maintenance.

    Also if you are using ODI for non FDMEE you should be installing it separately.

    No there is no ERPi in that list, even in 11.1.2.1 if you did have EPRi then ODI will have been installed separately.

    Correct, so I should upgrade ODI to 11.1.1.7.
