I have successfully installed WebLogic but I can not start WebLogic from QuickStart. It throws an error message like the following.

"Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.

Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit."

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I have installed Java(TM) 6 Update 27, Java SE Development Kit 8 Update 77 (64-bit) and Java 8 Update 92 (64-bit).

The environment variable values are as follows.

echo %JAVA_HOME%

C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_92

echo %path%

C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_92\bin;C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath;D:\app\rana\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\bin;C:\Windows;C:\Windows\system32;C:\Windows\System32\Wbem;C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\

I am getting java version from command prompt.

java -version

java version "1.8.0_92"

Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_92-b14)

Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.92-b14, mixed mode)

I am quite unable to use it. Please help me to get out the issue.

  • Hi  Shohel,

I think the issue with the heap size.

Can you please try increasing the heap size and try to start weblogic.

Might be the issue could be solved as the post was in may.
