hi Experts,

Customer asked if jcs instance has been stopped(not deleted), does customer still need to pay for it? per the understanding, they think charge will only apply if jcs instance is running.

Best regards

You would have to continue to pay for any storage involved (persistence of configuration, deployed code etc).  As for the JCS server itself - you would pay for the full metered period - so if you are metered monthly, even if you have JCS running for a couple of hours you pay for the month.

    hope this was helpful

    Thanks for the response.

Does this mean that if it's metered by hour and I stopped the instance(not deleted), opc only charges for the hours that the instances was running, but not for the time that instance is not running(stopped)?

    Best regards

Agree. The answer depends on what service (metered vs. Non metered) and with what parameters (e.g. payment per hour, monthly, etc.) was chosen.

For JCS yes. For auxiliary services (db, storage, etc.) I think they are non-metered even for metered JCS.

Btw. that's the idea behind cloud economy for environments like dev, test, or edu.
