Hello Experts,

I am trying to load a multiperiod file into FDMEE ( 11.1.2.3.500).

I get error for few records during the data load, while few records get loaded correctly.

The error says:

[TC] - [Amount=NN] 656005,EC_NA_Expense_Class,Platform_Sprint,PM_No_Purchase_Method,No_Channel,LOB_NA,No_Geography,66374,CT_No_Brand,,32,9.19,,,,,,,,,

I have set the file encoding to UTF-8 and the same is set in FDMEE.

Not sure what is causing this issue.

Thanks,

Ishti.

    Hi All,

Managed to get the root cause of the issue.

Since my import format is designed to load multi period files, there are instances in the file where there is no data for all the periods.

For such periods I am getting the Amount field Non Numeric warning.

    This can be ignored !!

Or can even be resolved by an import script for the amount field.

Thanks Everyone for your time and suggestion.

what is the target  system? (HFM? Essbase?)

Where does the load fail Validation or Export?

Have you confirmed that all dimension members in the records with the issue actually exist in the target application?

Have you sought to take  a single trouble record , manually recreate in a text file and seek to load and still encountered the issue?

Target is Essbase. Validation doesnot fails, Import Fails. All dimension members are in place as it rejects only a few records.

Yes single record gets loaded fine.

So are you saying that if you  take all the records with the issues , manually recreate in a fresh text file and seek to load they all pass the {IMPORT} set?

Do you have any type of special scripting in your setup?

    Hi,

If you look at the error, it clearly states that amount is NN(Non-Numeric). I believe with FDMEE 11.1.2.3.500, you can load just load numeric data. Which field has amount in the above record? Check if the import format has been assigned correctly for the amount column.

    Thanks,

    Bala
