We have 7110 system for lab & loss ZFS Application .

Can you show me link download ZFS Appliance for 7110 for reinstall ?

    Hi.

    This link was never provided by Sun/Oracle.

    You can download form support.oracle.com Software update for this array. ( Require active support contract).

      But it can not be directly used for reinstall.

    At  normal work customer not require  reinstall software, becouse boot disks mirrored.

    In extremaly case, when  both boot disk lost, customer should open SR for restore OS image.

    But it require active support contract.

    You mean there is no way to reinstall bios on the server, I guess..

    Hi.

    Appliance software is not BIOS. It's OS.

    You can  use it's as general server, ( Install Solaris, configure ZFS and  use it as array. But do not have user-frendly interface),

    May be it possible  unpack update and use it as install image.

    Supported way:  Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance: How to Recover a System that will not Boot and Stops at the GRUB Prompt (Doc ID 2002172.1)

      .... OS root partition is corrupted or missing, it this case the system will need re-installation by an Oracle Field Service Engineer

    Thank all,

    I reinstalled OS for ZFS successful by myself.

    Step 1 : Reinstall fresh Solaris

    Step 2 : Install ZFS Applicance (must right version)

    DONE.

    The system is power on & start normally.

    Hi.

    It' very intresting solution.

    Can you clear what version of Solaris you install ?

    Where possible get link for download ZFS Applicance ?

    As i know, ZFS Appliance based on Solaris special edition, not general Solaris.
