How to find the Discoverer Reports that uses a view

Hi Experts,

     We created a view (say XX_DISCO_V) and we are using this view in a Discover Report. But, now we are changing this view as per our new requirement. Here, we are not aware of any other Oracle/Discoverer Reports that uses the same view. So, could anyone please help me on how to check what Discoverer/Oracle Reports have dependency on this view (probable a query will be helpful).

Thanks in Advance,

Bommi

    You can do it a couple of ways.  If you login in the admin layer and delete a few columns off of the view and then click impact it will show you.  The nicer way is likely using a query something like this which comes with the workbook management suite with a few mods.... :

    SELECT DISTINCT DECODE(O3096150.EX_TO_TYPE,'ITE','Item','JOI','Join','FIL','Condition',O3096150.EX_TO_TYPE), O3096150.EX_TO_PAR_NAME, DECODE(EUL_ADMIN.EUL5_GET_ISITAPPS_EUL,1,EUL_ADMIN.EUL5_GET_APPS_USERRESP(O3096148_2.DOC_CREATED_BY),O3096148_2.DOC_CREATED_BY), ( O3096148_2.DOC_CREATED_DATE ), O3096148_2.DOC_NAME, ( DECODE(( DECODE(O3096150.EX_TO_TYPE,'ITE',O3096150.EX_TO_ID,TO_NUMBER(NULL)) ),NULL,NULL,EUL_ADMIN.EUL5_GET_AUTOGEN_ITEM_NAME(( DECODE(O3096150.EX_TO_TYPE,'ITE',O3096150.EX_TO_ID,TO_NUMBER(NULL)) ))) )

    FROM EUL_ADMIN.EUL5_DOCUMENTS O3096148, EUL_ADMIN.EUL5_ELEM_XREFS O3096150, EUL_ADMIN.EUL5_ACCESS_PRIVS O3096132, EUL_ADMIN.EUL5_DOCUMENTS O3096148_2

    WHERE ( ( O3096148_2.DOC_ID = O3096132.GD_DOC_ID(+) ) AND ( O3096148.DOC_ID = O3096148_2.DOC_ID ) AND ( ( TO_NUMBER(O3096150.EX_FROM_ID) ) = O3096148.DOC_ID ) ) AND ( O3096148.DOC_CONTENT_TYPE = 'application/vnd.oracle-disco.wb' ) AND ( O3096148_2.DOC_CONTENT_TYPE = 'application/vnd.oracle-disco.wb' ) AND ( O3096148_2.DOC_CONTENT_TYPE = 'application/vnd.oracle-disco.wb' ) AND ( UPPER(UPPER(O3096150.EX_TO_PAR_NAME)) LIKE UPPER(:"Folder Name") )

    ORDER BY O3096150.EX_TO_PAR_NAME ASC, ( DECODE(( DECODE(O3096150.EX_TO_TYPE,'ITE',O3096150.EX_TO_ID,TO_NUMBER(NULL)) ),NULL,NULL,EUL_ADMIN.EUL5_GET_AUTOGEN_ITEM_NAME(( DECODE(O3096150.EX_TO_TYPE,'ITE',O3096150.EX_TO_ID,TO_NUMBER(NULL)) ))) ) ASC, O3096148_2.DOC_NAME ASC

    ;

    For that you must created one folder? for that folder go to property > Dependency tab. It will list all the workbook using that folder(or view)
