Problem Summary
---------------------------------------------------
Data Synchronization between PaaS-JCS and SaaS(Oracle HCM Cloud R12)

Problem Description
---------------------------------------------------
Client is implementing HCM Cloud R12 and developing custom screens and have it deployed in JCS (PaaS) and integrate with SaaS. All the custom screens we are going to develop, requires employee data from HCM. As performing REST webservice call multiple times to pull employee data from HCM Cloud will lead to performance issue, we want to have all those employee data in our PaaS - DBCS and make use of them for our functionality.

Question:
1. How do I have the same employee structure in PaaS DBCS?
2. How do sync the data between PaaS and SaaS employee table whenever employee update (Create / Delete / Update) happens in SaaS?

Thanks

    Hi,

    1. How do I have the same employee structure in PaaS DBCS?

Sol - Please follow the OER  (Oracle Enterprise Repository)  document to get the appropriate database object structure with details and create the new table in your PaaS DBCS with the same structure.

    2. How do sync the data between PaaS and SaaS employee table whenever employee update (Create / Delete / Update) happens in SaaS?

Sol- Currently there are no schedulers that are available in PaaS to pull the data automatically from SaaS to PaaS. In one of the project we have used Quartz scheduler to pull the data from SaaS to PaaS by creating the jobs. These jobs will run accordingly that the way we configure (eg - minutes, hours and days). You will get some blogs from Oracle on how to use Quartz in PaaS.

Hopefully this information will be helpful.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Narendra M.
