Considerations and Pitfalls when migrating environments

Hi,
I would like to hear from the experience of this community about how the process is for migrating an existing UCM environment to a different platform. I know Content Server have some out of the box tools to package configurations and other migration features.
What would be your first thought on this? Is something somehow straightforward process? are there any pitfalls? This is particularly important as there is a need to understand if the amount of files and documents would affect the migration process.
Thank you very much in advance.

Hello Alejandro,
Its depends upon your environment. Steps are well documented.
Do you have 12c or 11g ? are you using Framework folder or folder_g? Do you have cluster?
Refer: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E72987_01/core/WCCUP/content.htm

Thanks,

Is something somehow straightforward process?
Yes ,it is a well documented process where in for both the configurations and contents you have options to migrate them .
It depends on the data volume and how well the migration is being planned .
are there any pitfalls?
Well, the most common issues are some items not being imported for some date mismatch or folder association mismatches.
Please read the following documents first to have an understanding of the entire migration process and then plan as per the environment specifications :
I assume you would be moving from lower 11.x version of 11.1.1.9.0 or 12c .
Please find the documentation for the latest version :
