Hi,

We have a requirement to integrate with Exadata. Do we need to use DB Adapter for the connection or is there is better or different approach for integrating with Exadata form SOA.

Thanks

Thulasi

    Hi Thulasi,

Can you be more specific please? Exadata is an architecture with a hardware+software solution to run Oracle Database... so, I'm not sure what do you want to integrate there, what application do you have running on that Exadata?

    Cheers,

    Vlad

You might want to look at  Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).

    Hi Vlad,

We need to integrate with the Oracle DB which is on Exadata. I am trying to understand whether using DB adapter is the right approach or is there any other better approach for reading data from Oracle DB on Exadata. Are there any best practices defined for doing this.

    Thanks

    Thulasi

    Hi Thulasi,

The DB Adapter is the perfect way to integrate with Oracle, on whatever platform it is running. But it depends a bit on what you want to do: poll on a table, select/insert/update/delete, or call a procedure/function?

    Regards,

    Martien

Thanks Martien, We would end up performing all of these based on the scenario and use case.

Thanks for affirming that DB Adapter is the right way.

    Thanks

    Thulasi
