Windows 2012 R2 Hyper-V + Oracle Licensing
Hi,
I have an Oracle System in both Live and Development Server. I intend to buy a Windows 2016 Server with Hyper-V to create 2 environment (Windows 2012 R2 + Oracle 11g ) for a Live and Development Environment for migration. I have license for both environment
Is there any licensing violation ? Could anyone advise especially from Oracle.

Hi.
You not write how many servers you have, what CPU installed at this servers and how many, what Oracle's license you have.
So it's problem give correct answer...
In cae you have correct type and number of licenses - you not have licensing violation

Hi Nick,
I have 2 Old Servers, each with 2 Processor/4C running oracle Database Standard Edition License). This license renewable every year.
The new server I purchased have 2 Processors/8C. I intended to installed Windows Server 2016 Hyper-V to create 2 Servers to replace the 2 old server.
