yes, but you could encrypt the admin password and give them that, but if the user is savvy, you are also giving them access to run anything in EPM Automate at that point, would be a risk, but could be weighted against the requirement.

I know it can be encrypted but I definitely feel there is a big security risk giving the users possible admin capabilities.
I wouldn't even feel safe with an admin encrypted password file sitting on users computers, it is not difficult to decrypt

I completely agree, just throwing it out there as an option.

Thanks Dan, sorry I am late to the discussion, but yes, have to agree with @JohnGoodwin on this, giving end users admin rights?
After that I will leave the five year olds with paper and matches ;-)

Sorry I wasn't having a dig at your suggestion , I just wanted to make it clear about the admin privileges for anybody that is not aware

If to continue the chain of this solution, you can run EPMAutomate script from a network drive. If you can set permissions for users to execute the script but not to be able to 'read' it, then it theory it could work.

If this is an EPBCS type app then you can use Groovy to run datamaps. If this is pure PBCS then NO

Are you sure about this? I don't think segment drop downs effect smart push.

Hi,
This is the link which I referred this point

Hi Dan,
think your suggestion, but I am baulking at the thought of putting a desktop solution that is fundamentally not part of the core product into the mix, for end users at least.
So marked you as correct as yours for me is the only working option, just not an option this architect finds acceptable, but others will differ.
Many thanks to all for your inputs, much appreciated as ever!
