    00065, 00000, "initialization of FIXED_DATE failed"

    // *Cause:  The FIXED_DATE string was not in date format yyyy-mm-dd:hh24:mi:ss.

    // *Action: Make sure the initialization parameter is in the correct date

    //          format.

    ==> check the format of the FIXED_DATE parameter!

    Please SHOW US:

    1. WHAT you did

    2. HOW you did it

    3. WHAT results you got

    One good reason for the above is this

    I have problem to startup one of my pdb. Have anyone encounter the same error?

    The term 'startup' doesn't apply to PDBs - you open them. So we need to see  a copy of your session that SHOWS the commands you are using. Also provide the connection info, full Oracle version, sid, etc.

    ...perhaps a little more information from the Oracle documentation wouldn't go amiss:

    Hi,

    I tried below to open the pdb:

    SQL> alter pluggable database pdb1 open read write;

    alter pluggable database pdb1 open read write

    *

    ERROR at line 1:

    ORA-00065: initialization of FIXED_DATE failed

    SQL> select sysdate from dual;

    SYSDATE

    ---------

    26-FEB-18

    SQL> select systimestamp from dual;

    SYSTIMESTAMP

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Your testing shows the sysdate and timestamp of the CDB not the PDB.

    For some reason the PDB fixed_date system changable initialization parameter would appear to have been set to an invalid value.

    Login to sqlplus:

    $sqlplus / as sysdba...SQL> select con_id, name, value from v$system_parameter where name = 'fixed_date';    CON_ID NAME         VALUE---------- ------------ ------------         0 fixed_date   NONE         3 fixed_date   01-JAN-18SQL>

    Unset it. Here's one way to try:

    $ sqlplus / as sysdba.../* Once in sqlplus run ALL these commands: */set echo onalter pluggable database ICBSSIT1 open restricted force;alter session set container = ICBSSIT1;show parameter fixed_datealter system set fixed_date = none scope = both;show parameter fixed_dateconnect / as sysdbaalter pluggable database ICBSSIT1 close;alter pluggable database ICBSSIT1 open read write;
