Opatch Auto in Rac (Why SQL APPLY on each node?)

Is there any reason for opatchauto to perform a sql apply on every node? It seems to waste a lot of time. On our six node rac this is adding over an hour to the time it takes.

    You mean datapatch?  I think you get someting wrong. Because in RAC Env datapatch  complete the post-install SQL deployment for the PSU only from one node.
