Oracle X7-2 M.2 drives ( with SW RAID ) and VMware compatibility

Hi folks,
Recently one of my customers purchased several Oracle X7-2 servers which he would like to deploy in a VMware cluster. He mentioned to me, that the M.2 SSD which are configured in a SW RAID can not be seen by vSphere as a single disk ( vSphere sees them as 2 drives ). Customer also told me that other vendors have released a special FW patch to adress this issue.
Thanks
